Our Story
Our journey began in 1975, when our father opened a small hotel and restaurant called RAYS in Lyallpur (now Faisalabad), Pakistan. Food quickly became a family passion, with everyone involved in the business. Those early days taught us the value of hospitality, hard work, and the joy of sharing food with others.
Like many immigrant families, our journey took us across the world. One of us came to the United States for higher studies, eventually settling in Arizona in 1997. While working in the corporate sector, he noticed a gap in the market—there was no authentic Indo-Pak restaurant in the area focused on fresh, homestyle Halal food.
In 1998, Copper Kettle was born in Mesa, Arizona. The response was overwhelming, and soon after, in 2003, we opened another location near Arizona State University to serve students craving the comfort of home-style cooking in Dhaba style. The restaurant soon grew beyond borders, becoming a go-to Indo-Pak restaurant for both Indian and Pakistani students.
After 12 wonderful years of serving the community, the original Copper Kettle Express building was taken down. We relocated to the corner of Apache and Lemon, rebranding as Curry Corner—a new chapter with the same passion for food. Over the years, we’ve been humbled to be featured in local newspapers, TV shows, and even on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives in 2013, sharing our flavors with a wider audience.
Today, we are proud to continue serving the Arizona community with a new home in Gilbert, carrying forward the legacy started by our father almost five decades ago. At Curry Corner, food is family, and every dish tells the story of our journey.
Our Specialties
Our motto at Curry Corner is Inexpensive excellence! We specialize in curries in a fast takeaway form. It’s essentially “fast food” with a real difference. Using fresh, healthy and wholesome ingredients sourced from only the best providers and with the combination of robust blends and distinctive spices, our menu spans from a wide range of curry dishes made to unique family recipes, to a tasty choice of great ideas for lunch, snacks and evening meals.
Our culinary journey has been featured on popular television shows like Diners Drive-Ins and Dives and Restaurant Recovery. We take immense pride in our roots and our recipes. From our signature tikka masala fries to our customer-favorite Arabic Thali, our menu has something for everyone. Our doors are open to all who are seeking to explore vibrant flavors and experience our motto of “Inexpensive Excellence” firsthand.
